1 Scope of Work

Blessings Mechanical provides residential and light-commercial handyman, repair, and maintenance services.
Work is limited to the tasks listed in each signed estimate or invoice.
Any additional work or materials must be approved in writing by the client and may result in adjusted pricing or scheduling.

2 Unlicensed Disclosure (Required by California Law)

Blessings Mechanical is an insured but unlicensed handyman service operating under California Business and Professions Code § 7048 (“Minor Work Exemption”).
Projects accepted:

Will not require a building permit
Will not exceed $1,000 total (labor + materials)
Will be performed by a single technician

If a project is found to exceed these limits, Blessings Mechanical will split it into separate lawful visits or refer the client to a licensed contractor.

3 Estimates and Pricing

All estimates are based on labor time, standard rates, and reasonable material allowances.
Final pricing may vary if material costs change or if additional work is approved.
Estimates remain valid for 30 days from issue date.

4 Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Accepted methods: cash, check, or approved digital payment.
A 5 % per-week service charge may apply to overdue balances.
Returned checks or failed payments may incur bank fees and collection costs.

Client authorizes Blessings Mechanical to process the agreed payment for completed services as described in the signed estimate or invoice.

5 Deposits and Cancellations

Some jobs require a deposit to reserve time or purchase materials.
Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled start may result in forfeiture of deposit.
Blessings Mechanical is not responsible for delays caused by weather, material shortages, or events beyond its control.

6 Refunds and Disputes

Clients must report any concerns within five (5) business days of completion.
Blessings Mechanical will make reasonable efforts to correct workmanship issues within scope.
Initiating a credit-card chargeback without prior written contact may constitute fraudulent misuse of payment systems.
Any refund or adjustment is at the sole discretion of Blessings Mechanical.

7 Limited Warranty

Workmanship is warrantied for 30 days from completion unless otherwise stated.
Warranty excludes normal wear, misuse, or defects in client-supplied materials.
Remedy is limited to correction or re-performance of covered work only.

8 Liability Limitation and Indemnification

Blessings Mechanical carries general liability insurance.
Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service.
Client agrees to hold Blessings Mechanical harmless from any claims or damages except those arising from proven gross negligence.
Not responsible for pre-existing conditions, concealed defects, or damage caused by client-supplied materials.

9 Worksite Conditions and Safety

Client must provide safe, accessible conditions and functional utilities.
Blessings Mechanical may postpone work if unsafe conditions exist.

10 Photo Documentation and Marketing Use

Client authorizes Blessings Mechanical to photograph work areas for documentation and warranty purposes.
No identifiable information will be shared publicly without written consent.

11 Privacy and Data Protection

Client data (name, address, email, photos, signatures) is collected only for scheduling and invoicing.
Records are stored securely and never sold or shared except for lawful payment or insurance purposes.

12 Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the county where the work was performed after good-faith mediation.

13 Acknowledgment and Acceptance

By approving an estimate or signing an invoice, the client acknowledges they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions and that Blessings Mechanical has clearly disclosed its unlicensed status under California law.
