California Unlicensed Handyman Disclosure

Blessings Mechanical operates as an insured but unlicensed handyman service under California Business and Professions Code §7048 (“Minor Work Exemption”).

This exemption allows individuals or businesses to perform repair and maintenance work without a contractor’s license, provided that:

1. The total value of labor and materials for any single project does not exceed $1,000, and

2. The work does not require a building permit, and

3. The work is performed by one individual (not subcontracted or crew-based), and

4. The work does not include structural, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC tasks requiring licensed trades.

Blessings Mechanical fully complies with these state guidelines and maintains general liability insurance for customer protection.
